If you're in crisis

Please call 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or call Talk Suicide Canada at 1-833-456-4566. I'm not a crisis service, but I'd be glad to help with what comes next.

What happens after you send this

No mystery. Here's the actual process.

01

You'll hear back from me

Usually within a business day, often faster. Personally — not through an assistant or an auto-reply system.

02

We book the free 30-minute call

A time that works for you. The call is short, warm, and there is zero pressure to book anything after it.

03

You decide what feels right

If we're a fit, we'll book a first session. If I'm not the right person, I'll tell you honestly and point you toward someone I trust.

Practical questions

The logistics people usually want to know before reaching out.

Do you take insurance?

I don't direct bill, but I provide receipts for any extended health plan that covers a Registered Psychotherapist. Most modern plans do — it's worth checking yours.

What are your fees?

Fees are listed on the Fees & FAQ page, and I'll confirm them with you during the consult. If cost is a barrier, please still reach out — we can talk about options.

Are you taking new clients?

Usually yes. If I'm full when you reach out, I'll tell you honestly and offer to put you on a waitlist or refer you to someone I trust.

How do online sessions work?

Over a secure, PHIPA-compliant video platform. You'll get a link before each session. All you need is a private room and a stable connection.

Is this confidential?

Yes. Everything we discuss is protected by professional confidentiality, with the standard legal exceptions (risk of harm to self or others, child safety, court order). I'll walk you through all of it in our first session.

What if I'm nervous about reaching out?

Most people are. That's exactly what the free consult is for. You can write three sentences in the form above and I'll take it from there.

You're allowed to take up space here.

Whatever you're carrying — the big thing, the small thing, the thing you can't quite name yet — it's welcome in the room.
